Motivational quote of the day...
How do you find what job you’re passionate about
What do you guys think about the Public Sector?
Plenty of good accountants that were never even in public. Careeer suicide would be slogging your way through and getting fired.
I’m acting senior on my project but actually being promoted is questionable at best
PwC 1: my reviews suggest promotion but nothing is guaranteed, therefore it is questionable
Not saying I agree, but I think the interpretation is that you couldn’t cut it and weren’t there long enough to build the skills that being with a top firm would normally ‘count’ for on a resume.
Are you close to senior?
Are you only leaving because of the team or the work? If it's because of the work then just get out of PA and start fresh.
Definitely not "career suicide" but I'd say opportunities and money are better if you wait to make senior
How comparable or substantial is the pay worth making to senior before leaving for industry? Have to ask if the pay/title is worth it for another year of this game and the possibility of becoming senior
I left as A2 and am making 30k more 1 year later
“Actually being promoted is questionable at best” then maybe it’s you, that you are truly frustrated with?
Well done SA1. That's the kind of motivation I'm looking for
