The data points we currently use are manager and self scoring of a scorecard for each employee (scorecard outlines mission for the position, outcomes, and competencies) as well as peer feedback based on the competencies of the position (thought being a manager only has so much insight to a person’s day to day, especially in a matrix org). I was offered an in-house role without a signing bonuses but that is “negotiable.” I am walking away from a $100+ big law bonus. What is a reasonable counter for a signing bonus?

Got offer as IT IA manager (at retailer) that I’ve accepted for mid July. Base pay will be 120k, curent salary is 99k (7.5 yoe). comes with 10k sign on bonus, a yearly 12.5% bonus if compny meets target, up to 25%. TC could be up to 150k, working 40~45hrs. Having 2nd thoughts about leaving and company trying to retain me with an option to move to cyber (and a retention bonus, TBD) Would asking for a higher base pay rather than bonus be an option? Is it bad to decline an offer after accepting?

Deloitte or Pwc? Assuming you can get the same position in consulting for both companies, where would you go? Have been interviewing with both and most likely will get the offers this week. Deloitte has a reputation of being more rough and wlb is bad, pwc seems to have a better culture but it is not as big. Thoughts?
