This question might anger some, but not meant to be provoking. Does anyone else feel that half the jobs in tech (scrum master, project manager, product manager, etc.) are more hindering than helpful? I feel like productivity would sky rocket if we didn’t have 10+ hours a week added of admin work/agile ceremonies/status meetings, and you just let developers and analysts do their job. Why are we spending hours learning how to estimate story points (for example) rather than improving production?

I have a situation in front of me. I got an offer from small company or we could say startup company Uzio (pdt based) and my manager in current company didn't revert back with any retaining offer. It's been a month and 27 days left in np.
My dilemma is that my current team including reporting manager are very rude and not supportive. I don't want to work in this project. But if I join in that startup company, there's a risk as everyone is talking about recession, firing. Suggestions?

Does anyone else feel guilty after withdrawing from a case? (Withdrew after Client ignored my legal advise and failed to comply with the Court’s Orders) but now I feel like I abandoned her.

I gave 2 technical rounds for devops role in MindTree. The guy from 2nd round only took 10 minutes to took the interview.

Now I got call from HR telling that the 2nd panelists mentioned that I have no client handling experience but good in skills.
I was into onsite and me and the guy never had any discussion like this.. He barely asked me anything in 10 minutes.
I am completely clueless and never faced this things in life life...

Ad Ops people: how do client teams send over their creatives and or tracking requests? Email? Excel form? One long sentence with no punctuation, shouty phone call? Does any other team take ownership?

So does it mean that Telstra Services will be providing service to some other client or it provides services to its own product?

I know it’s not a big deal but I’m so happy to have gotten some kind of bonus this year. Billed 1900 hours, got a $6k bonus ($3700 after taxes). Biggest bonus I’ve ever gotten in 8 years of practice. Job search has been rough so it’s nice to put a W on the board for once. Finally can fix the power steering and put new tires on the project car 😂😂 happy Friday everyone.

Currently not saying much in meetings. This is only my 2nd project in tech consulting and I really feel like I don’t have much to add in meetings. My first project was a much smaller team so I was forced to add value and even lead workshops but this one is a bigger team where I let the more experienced people talk. Is this normal?

It’s been a couple of days since I’m back to work mid project from PTO and I am doing the bare minimum and just trying to survive.
