Started at PwC in fall of 2016, moved to D for a raise (80->125) Watching my PwC classmates who are all Sr Associates, some on cusp of Manager. Can’t help but feel left behind as a C at Deloitte. I know I’m doing fine but man still feels like maybe I was too hasty to jump 😪
Best exit ops from Big4 IT M&A at director level? Is it possible to get a pay raise when exiting from strategy consulting (total comp) if you're already approaching the higher end of D-level pay band in consulting?
Bear markets are necessary in crypto space so scam projects and pump and dumps can go defunct and legit coins can raise back.
What has been a typical annual raise pre-pandemic for tech consulting seniors at EY? 10-12%?

Sooo no word from my counselor pretty much means no promotion from SC2-M, and I'm fired, right?
Does anyone know when the promotion decisions are announced at PwC? Have been hearing from Accenture and KPMG, sounds a little early to me, but wanted to check if anyone knows, thanks
I actually like PA. Anyone else can relate? I worked in industry and government before joining PA. I made the switch to PA after I was told my raise was going to be 5% after 2yrs of work. Smh
Need advice on whether or not to use an MBA consultant. Any opinions / thoughts appreciated! Situation: just turned down a promotion and quit my job because it doesn’t align with my career goals and was becoming a waste of time. Planning on spending the next 10 weeks studying for GMAT and applying for new jobs/volunteering, then applying R2 for 2021. I have a 3.9 GPA in a non-traditional major (French lit) from a “fake Ivy.” Only M7s I’m interested in are Kellogg and Sloan. (Cont.)
Do the increased fees to clients and lower commissions to wholesalers raise any alarm to those invested in PIMCO Income (PONAX)?
I’m at a place where I’m overpaid for my level AND got a 12% surprise raise. Places that pay you do exist, don’t settle or think that “all agencies are just stingy”
I am from public acctg and a Senior for 5 years. I’ve had this conversation on my promotion to Manager and was told I need another year. I feel demotivated and getting frustrated that they do not see me as someone who can be a Manager.
To all consultants out there: I am rather introvert and quite confcall - how did you learn to boost your confidence? Culturally I come from a region where self promotion is seen negatively. You always down-play.
Received a job offer at a consulting firm as a data analytics consultant for $20k more than I am making now. I am torn on taking the job offer because my manager told me I was getting promoted at the end of the year to a data analyst. I am not sure what the salary range for a data analyst is at my current job. Should I take the job or wait it out to see what my end of year raise would look like? I really like my job and team so leaving would be tough, but this raise is something to consider.
A month ago my boss told me I was getting a promotion and a raise. My raise was effective May 15th, and it has been reflected in my pay. He told me to keep it on the down low since there were no(cont)
So this might be a better place to post this and ask this question: Uncle D has announced explicitly that most people won’t get a pay raise & bonus this year except for those promoted and high performers. Amid this crisis, are companies including other big 3, MBB, FAANG, boutique consulting firms still giving high raises and issue stocks? Can you share the impact from your firm?
Would anyone move to a different firm that is unstable but gives a promotion plus 50% increase for same job?
I received an offer from another agency (Agency B) that's a 15% pay bump, but I am happy at my current agency (Agency A). I have asked Agency A for a raise to match that (not mentioning I had another offer) but it will take them a few weeks to come back to me, and Agency B are wanting a response soon... What do I do? Do I go for the money? Do I tell my boss I have another offer on the table?
Anyone taken the CFE or CIA? Feedback is appreciated with respect to review courses and prep time. Thanks.
I accepted an offer and I’m still interviewing. Wondering how bad it would be if I rescinded 🤷♀️
In general, is the Joining location of GDS (as mentioned in offer letter) remains the same as one continues to work during his/her tenure? Or is it like after one has joined in a particular GDS location, he may be asked to relocate to other locations based on Project requirements?
Do you think with Delta+ on the way agencies who have mandated RTO will send people home again?
Promote to manager in October and just found out my wife is pregnant with baby number two with a due date of October 1. Guess my first 4 months of manager are going to be on leave!
How did you minds stay focused during your last trimester? I’m due in January and I am on a project until thanksgiving! I am not interested in work at all, I just want to stop working & mentally prepared for this baby. I’ve been on engagements non-stop my whole pregnancy - sorry venting a little 😩
I m interviewing for a BSA Salesforce role at Google. What can i expect in first round of Solution Design phone call. What skills do I need to refresh. Any guideline is much appreciated as I am giving an interview after 3 years.
35 weeks pregnant and just had an interview for a full time job I would love to land. I haven’t disclosed anything, but if an offer comes, what’s the best way to play it out and not lose the opportunity?
How do you deal with overbearing mother? Mine can’t come to terms with the fact that I have my own life, travel, live far from home, etc. and always compares me to her friends whose kids call daily...
How often do people joining associate director or senior manager roles in pharma companies get sign on bonus? What about rsu and relocation ?
Took a flight back from client at noon. Bumped to first class. I swear they tried to get me drunk 🍸🍸🍸🍸
How much 💰 in your 401k? Include year as well.
What comp could I expect as head of biz ops at a series B start-up? 4 YOE - 2 MBB -> 2 MM PE
Hey moms, How do contractions really feel? FTM and I’m starting to feel a little pain in the lower part of my belly. Given I usually have a high tolerance for pain(after a ton of sports injuries) not sure what is true labor/contraction pain. Trying to avoid a car baby or a lobby baby😅 P.S: I don’t have a lot of pain during my period (which is what my mum keeps saying it’ll feel like). So unfortunately that reference hasn’t helped! Any advice helps!!
Part of layoffs today 😡
I’m not the heaviest I’ve ever been - I’ve lost some weight due to stress - but I’m easily in the worst shape of my life. I go for walks but it’s just not enough to combat the sedentary wfh lifestyle. Any advice on how to make more of an effort to at least try to do better? I have no equipment other than a yoga mat and can’t afford a peloton or anything. But I went to the office to pick some stuff up and took the stairs 3 floors up, and felt like I was going to die 😭 any advice appreciated!
I currently work in industry. I have an undergraduate degree in business and opted for an engineering management master's degree. Will I need to go back for an MBA? Or are there consulting firms that will pay me more for my advanced degree even though it’s not an MBA?
What is happening over at BCG and McKinsey? Every other post is about people interviewing there! Sounds like a huge ramp up.
Today I’ve become fully debt free, no loans, no credit card bill, nothing! I want to start investing, starting small. Where would you recommend starting? What advice would you give to a newbie?
