Hmmm, I wonder if it does anything similar to boys? Or is it just that women aren't supposed to be strong/independent/professional?

If we're quiet and humble we are told "you don't demonstrate your point of view" or "you don't have leadership skills."

And it turns guys into doughy, arrogant pricks who vastly overestimate their performance in the bedroom as much as the boardroom. (I've survived 8 years in consulting, you bet I'm a "bitch" aka I've stopped placating and apologizing every time I open my mouth. Also happily married... To a former consultant ;)

Oh get over it. Everyone in consulting (male/female) who reach SM and above are hardcore type A and the absolute worst social company. It is what it is.

Some women in male dominated professions feel like they have to be over the top professional and bossy for people to take them seriously. It's the same in the military.

Ridiculous that this is your POV. If men demonstrate the same attributes, they're respectable and good leaders. If women stick to their guns and are blunt/factual, they're bitches. Get over yourself. If your boss yelled at you, maybe it's time you grow a pair and do your job instead of complaining that a WOMAN called you out?
