61% utilization as a first year associate. RIP
Does anyone know if the same 401k rules apply at EY as Accenture so they will cap the contributions coming for your check say if you hit the yearly limits in August? So if you hit the 22,500 in 23 there is no way to go over for tax issues. Thinking to frontload next year contributions if market is down. EY

Uh... no, I don’t think it’s really that different. Sounds like recruiter hype/cockiness.
Had a similar 1st round call with McKinsey, got the same tone. I ended up going with BCG.
“Completely different” seems like a stretch
Was the person you spoke to a former deloitte person? If they werent they cant comment on how mckinsey is different than deloitte
SC1 nope, former ATK actually. They kept emphasizing that McK teams work on 'leveraging knowledge' and that it's not about personal responsibility for deliverables. Sounded borderline cultish to me
Also totally personal responsibility for deliverables.
Thanks for confirming McK2, I thought it sounded too weird. I'm in our strategy practice, and can't imagine the way projects are delivered and teams interact being so radically different
I mean, I'm not saying there isn't a difference. But when I asked about the level of responsibility/ independence an associate would have, they made it seem like that was a negative thing, 'we do all of our work as a team, etc'. Just seemed a bit odd, would like some perspective
🧐
Yeah their recruiters can come across as arrogant borg.
Then ignore them and move forward
