😀 love this question! I guess many things: passionate about data science, human psychology, intrinsic motivation. I have a growing hobby on the side, mentoring half a dozen startups in EdTech (education technology). What are YOU passionate about? Learn in areas that relate to your passion. It will probably expand your passion over time!

I was in discussions with ankther firm for a lateral partner move. Spoke to a couple of very senior folks at target firm, and went very well. Ended the call with next steps of speaking with more people.

That was a few weeks back, and then crickets. I was just exploring the market, and am totally ok with not proceeding any further.

Wondering if I should reach out and remind them, or just let it go. I am not sure i want to work with them anyways given how casual they took it!

Speaking with an EY recruiter about Divestiture Advisory (DAS). I’ve been wanting to get into M&A from audit and from the little I’ve heard, the buy side is “better”. Would appreciate anybody’s experience in DAS like: (1) what a senior would be doing (2) are hours similar to other FDD jobs (3) any specific questions to ask the recruiter. Many thanks for any help.
