Future employer wants to begin eqip and background check but panicking that current employer will be notified. Have not given my notice and won’t be for awhile. Start date is a few months out.

So we have a new mid-level who came from a small firm. Us mid-levels had a quick call with him to introduce ourselves and he said he was happy to join the firm because it looked like a collaborative, not a competitive environment. This could not be further from the truth

First year corporate associate here who overthinks most emails. I find that writing emails to clients/opposing counsel is the hardest/most stressful part of this job so far. So many times a mid level or senior will casually be like “send this to x and ask about y” and I don’t have any context or understand what to ask or how to ask it. Is this normal to hate writing emails this much? It could take me 30 mins to draft a pretty simple email sometimes. Help!
