I’ve been dabbling with the idea of getting into copywriting as something to soon the side but I have no experience doing it. What steps should I take (books to read, gigs to start with or pursue, etc) if I want to go from $0 and next to ) experience to $40k or so a year?

I’m in big law and on the cusp of making the jump to in-house. It sounds like the company I just interviewed with is getting ready to make me an offer. It’s definitely going to be a pay cut coming from big law but I do get some nice equity in the company. Is the jump worth it? approaching salary inequality? Agency has strict position salary caps. But hired employee at 15% higher, without good reason. Best way to approach this, knowing you’ve outperformed them consistently?

I started my career as an org social coordinator. 2 years later I’m now a generalist (Work in progress) - but I manage Google ads, org social, blog, seo, PR & affiliate programs.

I learned all of the above within 6 months and now own all those channels as an associate… not a manager (and won’t be one until we hire someone for me to manage as per my boss).
