Oh yeah, definitely a pay cut, but then again you can live well and work on cool assignments. Depends on what is valuable to you.

Logistics industry might be an option. I have a few former classmates in shipping in my network, they live all over the world.

Relocation is possible, but changing countries every year is unlikely. That’s incredibly expensive for companies to deal with visa, moving, etc.

Every year? That sounds like a lot. You could probably just bounce companies around if you really wanted to. But why would you want to?

Trying to pivot into marketing (my original passion) but heard I might have to lower my salary standards. Is it possible to get an entry experienced hire role for 70k+? Or are there any specific/similar roles where this would be more realistic? I live in New York by the way :)

I have been applying for jobs for exactly one month, prolly sending over 15 applications a day, with or without referrals, not a single lead, not a single interview, not a single follow-up from any recruiter. My profile is prolly not as competitive as I thought it was, given that I moved from a foreign country to the US, but I do have some good experience and I graduated from the one of the best unis in the US. What am I doing wrong? Help!

I wanted to spread a little positivity this Friday afternoon. I just started a new job after casually interviewing for several months at the start of the year to do a little research on the marketing job market, and then seriously interviewing/searching since May. After coming close with several other jobs but something always going wrong (low ball pay, role put on hold, etc.) I finally got THE job. I’m excited about it, I’m paid well, and fully remote. So don’t settle, and don’t give up! ✨

Hi single parents! How do you cope with being the NOT preferred parent? They say a mom and son bond is unbreakable but my son always chooses his dad 🥲 no matter how hard I try for our relationship, he always misses his dad even if they spent the whole week together. I love that their relationship is strong, but still hurts to know he’s fine without me but not his dad!

Hi Fishes, I need some help.
So I've got the offer letter from Genpact today, but I have to send the required docs and BGV should happen and then in 3-4 days they might send Joining/Appointment letter.
So my doubt is, shall I inform the current Consultancy that I'm rejecting their offer? Or shall I wait till I get the appointment letter from Genpact and then inform the consultancy?
It's already been 15+ days since I've joined the company via consultancy.
PS: I have just joined on 3rd Feb on C2H
