Not a corp/securities associate, but litigation.
180-200 is what most big firms expect, and we get paid market.
I was at a boutique working 200+ for $120k base and a market bonus, and was getting absolutely hosed.
Now I work the same, maybe even less, and make nearly double.
Lmk if you want a big law referral. From the sound of it, you already work big law hours. Come get the comp!

Same here - DM if you want to lateral :)
If you’re on a 2160-2400 hour pace, you should be in biglaw. That’s a ton of comp you’re missing out for working biglaw hours — taking a $ hit only makes sense for a WLB return or other niche factors that don’t exist if you’re in a standard corporate practice. And agree with the above: my DPW scale firm is hiring everywhere and happy to toss in a referral.
Happy to share my experience and possibly provide a referral if you’re interested in lateraling to Latham. I do think it’s the best of biglaw.
Definitely true. It’s remote-optional for now but there’s an expectation of at least a hybrid office setup next year where folks would come in a few days a week.
Appreciate the comments! I missed a huge point here that I am fully remote. Any big law firms still hiring fully remote? I was interested in Goodwin but scared away by some of the stories I heard earlier this year on this board about their “stealth layoffs.”
What are their reasons for wanting to leave Goodwin? Poor mentorship, lack of work, terrible partners?
Wanted to thank everyone for the comments here. Not at all what I was expecting and appreciate the offers for referral too.
