Sent a partner an MSJ on March 15. He sent comments at 11:55 today. I have a time sensitive appeal due today that I’m working with the paralegal to get everything ready. I told him won’t have time to revise the MSJ, let alone get the affidavits from our clients/experts signed but I could get it ready for Monday. He’s upset because “this really needs to be done today and when he sends things to an associate, he is counting on the associate to get it done.” No question, just needed to vent.

Hey fishes, can someone tell me how the 80c bracket works, i know i can get exempt upto 1.5lakh under it, what i wanna know is does PF comes under it or not? For example if my yearly pf deduction is 20k and VPF is 10k so now will i still be able to show investment of 1.5lakh under 80c apart from PF and VPF or i'll be able to get exemption on only 1.2 lakh( 1.5lakh-30k= 1.2lakh)?

Getting CTC offer for 18lpa with deduction of epf 42000 included. My expectation given was 18-20 lpa but how can I negotiate for more ? It's a service based company and they donot have any max compensation band for the role they are open to negotiate.( I am getting almost 38% hike on my last CTC which was around 13lpa. Plus i have to give back a retention bonus of 2lpa to my current company.) On what reason can i negotiate for more?
