Has anyone made exit to healthcare IT startup from hospital operations consulting ?

I recently left a 20 year career in healthcare to try something different. I love it but I’m not sure what exactly my role is . I see a lot of SD or AE or BDR and I really do not know what things make you what title ?

What are health implication of staring at the screen the entier time?

I am a registered sales assistant which means I have my series 7. I also have the 63 and my Life & Health license. I was a financial advisor but the role is commission only so I decided to take a role as an assistant for some time to learn etc. I really like my role, but I only make 32k a year and after taxes I only take home about 25k. I have a gut feeling that I’m not being paid market value but it’s tough to find comparable salaries. Do you think $15.38/hr is a fair wage in this case?

I have been with my company for almost 8 years. I wasn’t certified when I started but I have been now for about a year. It wasn’t required before. I learned that my coworker who has been with us less than a year and had no prior experience in healthcare makes very close to the same amount I do. My boss says our rates are based on our experience which is clearly not true. One of our none clinical members who left was making the same as me. Does this seem right to you guys?

Just had my 4th and final interview with Accenture with someone very high up, other 3 skills interviews all loved me and went great, and this guy couldn’t have been a bigger a$$hole to me during our call if he tried.
