If you’re using that offer to push them in a corner and ask for a raise they might. especially in this job market. Times are fucky-wucky and everyone’s on edge — nobody wants to feel threatened.

I had a former coworker have this situation and it turned into 🧨. The agency she was at knew it was a crap offer and called her bluff. Didn’t do anything except say “we’re not going to match” She ended up staying and there was a cloud over head until she left 6 months later.

Any agencies giving raises right now? We keep hearing the same pandemic-related excuse every week for the raise freeze. I was due for a raise when everything shut down last year, took a pay cut for half the year, and don’t know how much longer I can hold out.

Is the grass always greener. I’m super happy in my current job. I like my coworkers, I get to do the projects that I want, and I have an all around good support network.
