Could you claim tuition paid to a church for daycare when they were closed due to COVID as a donation? Normally tuition isn’t tax deductible but during these periods of time no reciprocating benefits were received. I plan to talk to a CPA but thought I’d check here?

Interesting question. My guess is if you didn’t get anything it most likely can qualify as a donation. I know id definitely lean towards that if I were in a similar situation

I graduated in May 2020 and found myself excepting a Junior Art Director position in Healthcare. Regarding retirement, the way I understood it the ideal was: 1. 401k match 2. Roth IRA 3. Max 401k 4. Other accounts (eg. HSA if you are elegible, potentially 529 for your kids, otherwise just investing in stuff) Is that right or am I forgetting something?

I’m in second trimester. I just came from my grandfather’s funeral, outside. My aunt was around her 2 siblings last week that had Covid and she hasn’t been vaxed. She hugged me and mom (4 weeks from her last chemo session) and only told us about her siblings after. I’m so mad. I received an offer from one of the MBBs (Analyst position - banking benchmarks team). The offer briefly mentions that I'd receive performance bonus, but doesnt mention any range (% bracket). Has anyone been unjustly rejected by their children due to encouragement by other parent/grandparents/other? It happens usually during separation and divorce but could happen within a marriage. In many extreme cases, the child is prevented from a relationship with a parent due to a being blocked physically and emotionally. I'm currently in a toxic marriage where spouse and MIL badmouth me (among other things) to my 5 yo son to the point where he rejects, badmouths, and even bullies me.
