I interviewed second round OCI for a national firm in Dallas several years ago. I thought the interviews went very well but didn’t hear back for weeks. I finally followed up with their recruiter and was told was told they had passed on my candidacy. Now I’m interviewing as a lateral for the same firm in a week and noticed that the same people who interviewed me the first time are on the interview schedule. During my interview in 2017, he said his target retirement would be 2019-2021. Now, after a good 2020 (for our practice area), he mused that he might not retire until 2025.
