Couldn’t be more unhappy with my job, specifically my pay and my employers. I am being paid extremely below average and am overwhelmed and disrespected daily . I would make more money doing a non-legal job with no degree required. Job availability is low (especially in entertainment) and my anxiety is at an all-time high. Should I suck it up and wait for a new job offer before I quit?

Depends if you want to stay in the law or take the non-legal higher paying job you are referring to

I just found out that my CPA failed to file my returns and submit payment on time even though they confirmed on the 18th that it was going to be filed that day. I do corporate taxes and have extremely limited experience in personal taxes. What should I be concerned about here other than the penalty and late fees for their negligence?

Anyone have tips for asking for more than you think you're worth? Because of the employment market there's a job which is about a 20K jump for me but it's been open for a year so I'm pretty sure I can get something additional out of them. Would it be appropriate to ask for 10K above the jump? Or should I just count my blessings and leverage my ability to underprice other applicants
