Honestly pretty surprised to hear that S& doesn’t give a transition period, that’s quite rough. Good luck OP, just gotta keep grinding along with the search one day at a time
Hey there, i have a feeling i might know you. I am also from the same class of 2016. I have several leads i received from headhunters through LinkedIn and i would love to share with you. Wanna share burner? Also open to meeting up in person if you are in NYC. In any case best of luck with everything
OP, sorry to hear this. You should find senior manager roles in med to large F500. Was the counselling out, out of your control? I.e utilization or getting staffed on projects not of your interest? Just shocked you already made it through 2yrs post MBA and seems you didn't see it coming..
Ah, that's the worst. I am sorry you had to deal with such a situation. While it sucks now, you would come out just fine. Praying and hoping I don't ever get staffed with this "Nightmare manager" LOL!
Just heard back from them, I got dinged. 😔
“Counseled out” in quotes as S& doesn’t give a transition period
Definitely senior manager or director. Not manager
Sorry to hear OP. I think you can get avp at a bank if you’re doing financials. If not then a project manager role or internal strategy may work for other industries. Keep your head up
If it's of any help, happy to refer you, or any serious candidate, to EY. We are hiring. Hit me up at EYreferburner@gmail
Ah damn. Keep trying...
Manager level
Utilization was fine, over 100% actually. I didn’t see it coming and neither did my project team. Feedback was strong performance at current level, but partners didn’t see potential for next level. For context, I spent 7 months with a nightmare of a manager (two other seniors refuse to work with this person again, and an Associate with under 2 years of tenure quit under this person with nothing lined up)
OP i heard the same thing “partners not seeing the next level potential” as a reason for being let go for others but thats vague. What was the next layer issue... work ethics? Building relationships? Quality?
@MD1, I just interviewed with EY today! Thanks for the offer.
Best of luck!
What did you interview for OP?
