I use my fitness pal and roughly stick to lots of lean proteins, healthy fats, and only eating carbs that come from veggies, fruits, and low glycemic grains (e.g. steel cut oats). I've lost a pound a week for the past two months with minimal exercise (I'm adding that in now). And I was already in the normal BMI range so it's not like I had an insane amount of weight to drop.

like

At the beginning of the week I pick up healthier things like fruit, Greek yogurt, nuts, protein bars. Use those for breakfast (also easier than having to grab breakfast before coming in) and snacks. Other good options are placed that do "bowls" where you can control what goes in, and opt for brown rice, veggies, lean protein (not too different from a salad but a gives you some variety).

On a serious note are you asking for actual meals or places with healthy options? As someone already pointed out Chipotle is as good as you're going to get for fast food if you are counting macros. Use their nutrition calculator. Otherwise meal prep: protein, green, and carb (sweet potato, yam, brown rice).

Use my fitness pal, count macros more than calories, plan things out before eating and once you get the hang of it, then you can ditch the app/site

Focus on lean protein and veggies - at restaurants, ask them to hold the bread; ask for extra veggies instead of potatoes or rice; and get burgers with lettuce, not buns. Ease off wheat, dairy, sugar (no fruit except berries), and eat low or no carbs (rice, potatoes, etc.). Good for you on many levels and makes food choices easier for sure!

I went low glycemic impact (think paleo, but includes more complex grains /brown rice). Also intermittent fasting. Worked wonders for me. And a big thing is to just cut out the garbage (soda, sugar, white bread, etc).

How did you all deal with failure in your career. I was ambitious and smart. I was in IBM and considered to be one of the best of my class. I was fired and haven’t really found my way.

I don’t know what to do anymore. 3 years after the fact, I am still at an entry level position. I hate myself for letting things get this bad but I don’t know how to get out of this perpetual cycle. I tried working my ass off but have not been able to shake off that unfortunate past.
