What are thoughts with regards to transitioning from a commercial banking portfolio manager at a Canadian big 5 to a strategy & transactions consultant at EY-P. Any pros and cons, does any benefits outweigh the other? Looking to hear everyone’s thoughts. So far from my research/chatting with connections it’s sounding like a step down in terms of compensation.

This might sound like a crazy question but never having worked in public before: Billable hours - if you’re very efficient at your job, do you stretch out the time and work slower to get to your billable hours or do you safe the client the money. In a Situation where you don’t have other projects to work on. Tell me the ins and outs of working billable hours for a complete newbie.

From interview perspective, I enjoyed lucidworks interview as the interviews taken by quality people compared to other two companies. But it is a startup.

Why are the equivalent GRE scores for M7 schools so much lower than their equivalent GMAT? I am seeing scores in the mid 320s that only convert to 710-720 gmat equivalents.

I’m so tired of being spoken down to today. Every call today men have been speaking to me like I’m their daughter. It feels like I’m getting a pat on the head.
