Covid exposed US health care and US government leadership for what it is. How people can continue to defend either is beyond belief.

Life has lost some meaning for me. It's me, my wife and pup. Especially after COVID, we rarely if ever met anyone. We go by our jobs, do it and get back home dinner and sleep before hustling for next day.
Weekends, we end up wanting to do something, argue about not coming with ideas and give up re-watching same series and sleep.
Since our pet arrived, what little we traveled has completely stopped. We're trying to conceive and feels like an uphill battle.
Is there more to life?

12 weeks today. I was hoping I would be able to get DNA genetic testing today but my insurance still hasn’t approved the testing. I have up until Friday to see if it’s approved if not I can get another test but it’s a 90% detection rate ($300). The other test is 97% and out of pocket it’s about $3K. How would you guys proceed?... Just take the $300 test if the other isn’t approved in time?

COVID makes me both relieved I don't have a kid, and also wish for a kid at the same time

Hi does anyone have any recommendations of what kind of jobs/career I can apply for with a Bachelors in Theology and World Religions and a Masters in International Relations. I graduated just as Covid began and have struggled to find a job since... On top of that I realised when doing my masters that I didn't enjoy Politics, which was quite a blow as my goal was to eventual become a Political Affairs officer. I just feel quite stuck and would really appreciate any advice.

Any ideas to help promote mental health & wellness during this time? I am in a position to be able to start something in our office and would like to gather ideas on what would be helpful / what we could be doing at this time. What would be helpful for you or your co-workers?

At my agency a couple of years - majority of that during covid. Nice bosses who care about their staff, but the work we are making is so safe. Our ECD is constantly out voted by the C suite and the work we get through is diluted. I don’t present routes I don’t want to make, then the planners make us work on theirs as “a safe option” spoiler: it’s bought. Do I cut my losses and try go elsewhere - even if my book is the same? Or hang in there/ keep pushing and hope I’ll slip one through?

Fully vaccinated ones who tested positive later, what sort of symptoms did you have? Or did you just get tested as a precaution coz someone you met was positive ?
I travelled/flew for the long weekend, i've been down with almost Flu like symptoms ever since i got back home, tired as hell with crazy brain fog. I donno if i am just tired/ its just Flu or if i should just go get tested for Covid🤦‍♀️
