Anyone letting their hair grow out and donating to charity after COVID ends? I haven’t gotten a haircut since before the pandemic and don’t feel safe to get one until it is over. For people who have donated hair before any organizations you would recommend?
Do you check emails on the weekend because of covid wfh situation/generally? Or check email but wait to reply on Monday unless an urgent response is required?

Coronavirus is still lurking behind the scenes. News reports are so vague. They Don't even break it down by state?

Need recommendations for things to do tonight and tomorrow night in Boston. I am on-site - Boston downtown till Thursday. First time in Boston. I will most probably be solo (may be 1-2 coworkers but not sure). Want to explore the bar scene, and meet random people (like it used to be before COVID). I know most night clubs are closed on weeknights, so looking for next best thing. M, 30s. Tia.
Vaccine mandate legal?? YES!!!! https://www.wsj.com/amp/articles/are-employee-covid-19-vaccine-mandates-legal-what-to-know-11627506537
Just went for a run for the first time in years and my lungs gave out in such a short amount of time I seriously considered getting checked for covid. Years ago I did marathons and here I am struggling to cover 30secs
Hey guys. I’m the event planner for CLSA at my law school and was wondering if anybody is willing to be on a panel regarding ethics during the coronavirus regarding the way confidential information is sent and received, how you guys use zoom for depositions or any ethical challenges you’ve come across during this time. Thank you!
Currently working at Accenture as a C (promoted Dec ‘19), but I know I ultimately want to make the jump over to Deloitte. I am on track to be promoted to M in the 2021 promo cycle and I know Deloitte would likely knock me down one level either way. Due to COVID-19, it seems like it doesn’t make sense to jump ship for at least another year while things get back to normal. Any thoughts on if it’s better to wait it out and leave after making M (but how long after?) or try to leave earlier? TIA
How do you guys deal with frequent brain fog? Ive always had it a bit on and off but lately I've felt almost lost in some work meetings because I can't retain anything. I don't smoke weed, I rarely take low dose of anxiety medicine, drink socially and I'm pretty healthy on most fronts but I did have COVID almost a year ago. What else could cause this?
Nothing to individuals who have lost jobs, a hit to social security and Medicare, immunity to businesses if their employees are forced to work and get sick...outstanding plan Mr. President. https://www.commondreams.org/news/2020/05/04/trump-says-he-wont-approve-covid-19-package-without-tax-cut-offers-zero-relief-30
Gained the COVID -19 (really only 10 pounds) but need to lose between 15-25. Been counting calories and mild exercise but we are interested in trying fasting but know nothing. How do you do IF right? When do you eat vs fast and what are the time frames? Do you eat only certain things on some fasts? Help appreciated
I am a background check away from putting in my notice. KEEP grinding if you’re miserable and/or have trouble getting out of bed in the morning. This took a lot of ghosting and interviews+offer letters being taken off the table due to COVID. Stay humble and you’ll be next. Take a midday walk and schedule some coffee meetings to expand your network and stay sane.
Tone-deaf response from the left wing Democratic mayor of D.C., who was speaking near the place a 17 year old had just been shot to death. "Mayor Muriel Bowser, speaking to reporters near the scene of the shooting, noted that public drinking and marijuana use outside were prohibited, as were gatherings of more than 50 people as a precaution against spreading the coronavirus. “It’s very important that as a community we have a zero-tolerance for this activity,” https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/dc-shooting-leaves-dead-20-injured-72269085
My district has a COVID-19 Compliance Tipline. While I don’t have need of it currently, it is good to know it is there. Does your district have this?
Seeing Mckinsey winning alot of COVID related work, makes me wonder which pandemic has Mckinsey had the biggest net impact on, Covid or Opiod crisis?
I should stop day drinking, 2020 broke me. Between this project, Covid and trying to adult and date.
Thoughts on working in admissions for a top 20 MBA program? Want to eventually work 100% remote and feel like a move to admissions consulting would be super easy after 5-10 years.
Why do people want to work for UMM/MF? I feel likes it’s a rat race follow the heard mentality with little long term upside (you get paid a bunch for two years but then what?). I’m really keen to go the MM but feel like I’m making a mistake the way my friends talk about it…. In my mind a small younger growing fund is such a better opportunity — more learning, exposure, promotional potentially, and, hopefully, culture. What am I missing?
So I just found out I'm pregnant and need to tell my employer eventually (it's still quite early). Since this is WFH, I can obviously keep this to myself for much longer. When is the appropriate time to tell my company? (I have a good relationship with them.)
Any delays getting out once landing at ORD today? Hoping to get downtown somewhat quickly.
has anyone ever successfully negotiated an offer in which you’ve gotten the agency to pay something off (car lease, the remainder of a lease) as part of your offer/salary?
When you put your 2 week notice in at the Big 4 as a staff level will you be shown the door immediately? If so, will you get paid?
WWYD if job option #2 makes you an offer, but dream job #1 is dragging their feet/let you know it might be up to three months before an offer is given; also dream job’s interview feedback was great.
We have a parent who always holds up traffic during morning drop off by parking and sitting in her car right in front of the building. How should I address it?
...I wonder what normal people feel in life. I wonder who I would have been if I weren’t so sick.
Can somebody refer me at MBB, Accenture, EY and PwC? Victim of Deloitte layoff. Would appreciate any and all the help I can get!
Senior CW w/ 5 years experience in NYC and MIA?
Actually am getting pretty comfortable with this WFH arrangement. dont wanna jinx it 😬😬😬
I really wish it were possible as a Senior to take a "quiet" or remote day every week and focus on work uninterrupted. I get that it would be a challenge for staff/mgrs but think it would be worth it.
It looks like the initial WFH productivity was actually driven by fear of losing one’s job, not necessarily because WFH is better. https://www.wsj.com/articles/companies-start-to-think-remote-work-isnt-so-great-after-all-11595603397

Okay I’m going to say it if hasn’t been said before: I want the option to go back to the office now. I get some of you have kids or prefer wfh but I can’t stand it. I hate being cramped up and some people also live with toxic family members. We should make it optional for those who want/need to come back
