I am in my early 40's and have about $300K invested and some in cash. I have $70K in credit card debt (no lavish lifestyle, just 2 bouts of unemployment and some major medical expenses, even after insurance).
I live below my means, LCOL city, used car, max my 401K, save my bonuses, etc.
I am going to get a large bonus where after tax, I'll get a couple hundred thousand.
Should I prioritize pay off all credit cards or pay down half/some of the cards and use the rest for a house down payment?
I would legit make them pay for another hotel. That is gross and babies are gross
If it was me, I wouldn’t even notice. 3 kids under 5. Lack of smell is one of several superpowers
If it were me I’d demand someone go in there and clean and deodorize—could be the manager, I don’t care, just someone who isn’t me.
I suggested 30k?
30k or equivalent point value per stay (eg ritz = 50,000)
Dying, what a nightmare
Honestly you could milk a hell of a lot of points for this. Legitimate health risk there. At least upwards of 50k imo. Maybe even in the 100k range.
wow. i would contact marriott and try to make them do the guaranteed availability comp. that would be switching hotels + cash + points.
Was the baby there too?
