No need to be an asshole D1
Real talk, I think anyone who isn't an URM and applies to T15 needs to hit 7. Do whatever you have to, take a time off, whatever, but schools this year I feel are feeling the pinch of the immigration issues and can't rely on a bunch of 760s from India/China to keep their average high. In all honesty, if you just submitted I would try to retake ASAP and send the adcom a note with your new scores
OP- if you’re averaging 740 on practice tests but scoring 50 points less on the actual test, may be worth it to pay to see the breakdown of how you actually did on the exam (I think it’s like $25?). It doesn’t give you exact types of questions you missed, but is good to track performance across (did you start out strong then go down later in test? Etc.). Also, submit the app but go ahead and schedule another retake, you can send in the new score even after submitting. Also, I got into Ross with a 710 in R1! :)
What's your weakness in GMAT?
Same here :( damn
Are you at 690/700 already?
Yup, at 690, 46Q/39V, previously I did 48Q/35V....
Hopefully exp and goals are enough to get into Ross...
@B1, at this point it's looking like Quant, problem is that I'm ethnically Indian so adcom are gonna treat me bad :(
What would you think is a “good” score?
I was targeting a 720 or 730
That’s the average though, doesn’t put you as a standout does it
Yeah D1, I was averaging around 740 on practices but I was gonna be happy with 720 or 730.
Applying for tech btw; what are you guys trying for and what are your scores?
Yup, A1, already signed up for the next attempt. Congrats! Are you gonna accept it or trying for other school?
I'm a 680 even though my practice has been 750-770. :/ I'll apply, and then, retake for recruiting purposes.
Good luck BA1!
Tough love KPMG but much needed. Using my bench time to avoid any work like the plague and double down on GMAT prep
