Hi fishes, I've joined TCS on 9th nov as a 2 YOE .Net developer. Since past week I'm getting project interview calls, I have given 3 till now, not selected in 1 and not sure in other 2. I've followed up with the interviewers about my interview , both said that they have given their feedback to their managers and if there is an requirement I will be called up. I am little worried seeing all the layoffs going on...can my employment be in danger upon failing in project interviews?? Tata Consultancy

Hi, I had worked with cognizant for 8 years. At the beginning, i had worked under BPO for three years and then moved to IT and worked as a tester for the remaining years. However, the receiving letter had not been mentioned about the BPO experience. So could we ask Cognizant to provide two reliving letters of one related to the BPO?
Do you have M1, M2 and M3 banda for @EY India?

I was laid off during Deloitte‘s mass layoff in July of last year. I have worked as an independent contractor since and projects haven’t been consistent at the client I’m working for. I’m looking to get back into a big firm and was seeing if anyone would be able to refer me or help get my foot in the door. I was a business analyst for 1.5 years at Deloitte and have several years of additional experience which I’d be more than happy to share.
Thank you Global Entry.

Continue treating it as normal because you never know
I did that and decided that it would good practice for other interviews. It really loosened me up, I wasn't nervous about my answers. Turned out they liked the confidence and attitude and I got the job!
The person interviewing me, apart from making disparaging comments about me throughout the conversation, was very down on the company. I finally asked him what he’d rather be doing for work if he didn’t work at the company, and then we spent the rest of the interview talking about his wild ideas for future employment (owning an adventure park franchise).
Walked out of there knowing I didn’t get the job. Still sent the guy a thank you note and told him I hoped his future plans worked out. A bit later, I got a call from HR offering me the job. Weirdest experience of my life.
Omg please tell me you took the job
In undergrad, 1 company I applied to had a group interview for first round, 8 applicants. Each applicant was given a paper with a role, budget line items and some context. As a group, we had to save a few million dollars by negotiating with each other, and make the case to keep our budget items. I didn’t really want the job, so I immediately gave my entire budget away, and the group met the entire saving target right away. Actually made it to second round.
Had an interview with Goldman Sachs. When asked "why investment banking?" I replied, "I don't know". Walked away with an offer.

"He's a real straight shooter with upper management written all over him"
Asked her out and got lucky
King!
Pretended like I still had a chance and answered all the questions like a chump
Switched the interview to discussing what industries I would actually be a good fit for with the interviewer, he recommended I check out consulting firms and the rest is history
I asked if I could use the restroom during the interview because the tikka masala lunch catering was doing me derty.
Told the interviewer after 20 minutes that “at this stage, we both know I am not the right candidate for the job” and offered to give her back the next 40 minutes of her life (and mine). She laughed and we had a really nice chat after that.
No. I truly was not right for it. This was not a tactic.
I had an interviewer at a CPA firm tell me they drug test, including marijuana (legal in my state). I shook the interviewers hand, thanked him for his upfront honesty, and left.
Tbh figured I had no chance getting job at Deloitte. Final 3 Skype interviews, I was taking shots/drinking between them because it was my birthday and thought I had no chance. Ended up getting the offer an hour later. Thinking about trying the same technique and applying to Harvard 😂
Should be a cake walk lol
Ask about good restaurants in the campus and if there is a reimbursement policy!
Had an interview right out of college during the recession that was already tough times for me and the HR person literally told me that I was under qualified and didn’t know why she was interviewing me after she contacted me. So I asked her “do I really need to continue the interview At this point? Seem like you have your mind made up and I don’t need to hear you take apart my history. I’m actually very proud of what I’ve done to get to this point.” And she was like I would still meet with the hiring managers. So I did and the hiring managers loved me to the point that they talked badly on their own HR processes and offered me the position and negotiated a salary. Lol
I had an interview the day after my 21st bday in college.. I showed up hungover and still had the bar stamp on my hand
Responded to the question of "why do you want to move from industry to consulting?" with "I always avoided hiring Big 4 firms because of big egos and the low quality of work produced. This is an opportunity to be better than that for my clients."
The partner agreed with the assessment. I got the job.
That’s like saying I’m too perfect to what’s your biggest weakness

I was the interviewer for a head of IT Strategy Role at my client. HR always pulled one "long shot" for me to interview, and this guy really fit that bill. I'm pretty sure he was high when he walked in and knew he was way out if his league When we talked about the results of his biometric test (not great), he laughed and said, "ya, I was really hung over when I took those". He knew he wasn't getting this job, so why pretend.

Funny, that's exactly what I thought of first time I heard it too, but thankfully, no blood or other bodily fluids.
LOL Was very green when interviewing at a big 4 firm and wasn’t super confident in my case interview skills. I “consulted” my way through the case with confidence and afterwards the interviewer asked a very specific follow up Q of how I would go about doing XYZ analysis in this situation. I just spewed whatever came to mind (to this day I don’t know what I said) and followed it up with a “does that make sense?” The interviewer smiled and said “that was really great, considering you had no idea what you were talking about!” We both had a good laugh and I guess my ability to at least feign confidence in an ambiguous situation impressed them so I got the offer!
I wrote back and told them they were making a mistake and that I’d be a great fit for a b and c reasons and would welcome the opportunity to chat. This was after an auto reject from just a resume. I found the recruiters name in HR and reached out directly.
Lolzzz no but I had nothing to lose at that point!
Had a final round interview with BCG. The first partner took the interview via phone camera. He gave me the case then laid back in his chair and closed his eyes. The second partner was not prepared and spent 5 mins looking through his briefcase for the case. Clearly I was not the target candidate.
It’s never any single persons fault. It just happened to be that office and on that day. The first rounds were highly professional.
I just feel like I didn’t fit the criteria the partners were looking for and the decision was already made. Such as life.
In my final round, one of my interviews was obviously not going well... in the end, was asked by the partner what I wanted to do if I did not get the offer. I was like fuck it, and said open a bar cause I enjoy booz... Few hours later got a call from the partner congratulating me and telling me I should visit his bar sometime. What are the odds :p
This didn't happen
