I was impacted by Deloitte's COVID layoffs. I was a first year so I only have 10 months of experience with Deloitte in audit, I interned with them too. I have a MACC degree 1.What are some good exit opportunities that I can work with given my experience? 2. Should I apply to positions with Deloitte if they just laid me off?

I seriously forgot what it's like to work a normal 40 hours. I've been working at least 50 hours (billable) since last summer due to staff cuts with my only breaks being thanksgiving and Christmas and some PTO sprinkled here and there. Random thought. Many teachers live and die by their whiteboards, and that means dry erase markers are essential classroom supplies. Far more expensive than the chalk I started with, but I digress. I feel like the only person on the planet who prefers bullet-tip markers to the standard chisel tip. I am particularly fond of the Pilot refillables, despite their limited colors. Anyone else care to share their marker thoughts on markers and the merits of chisel tips vs bullet?

Adventures in Interviewing: Today we were wrapping up a pretty good interview with a strong potential candidate. When asked if they had any last questions, they said that they had an issue with our Work from Home policy (we’re 100% WFH right now, and will not consider a re-opening strategy until everyone is vaccinated). The candidate declared that they did not believe in vaccines, so we needed to allow her to be a permanent remote hire. I guess I’m glad about the dodged bullet, so there’s that.

I really want to get pregnant (already have frozen embryos ready to go via IVF) and am almost 40. I’m consulting with my dr, but was wondering if anyone else has advice from their own experience.
