Heading into final interviews at 4 companies…

1. What should I do for references? My company doesn’t know I’m interviewing, so who do I ask, when, and how? It’s not a question of who would give positive reviews, but rather who is appropriate to put in that position knowing they won’t want me to leave.

2. IF I get multiple offers, any tips on how to negotiate higher salary or more equity? I’m excited about each company so I don’t know how I’d rank my preferences if the offers are similar.

After a long and extensive interview process (2 months & 12 rounds of interviews) I finally heard back that they are very interested in offering me the job. My Current base is $135k (in NJ) and my ask is $180K (in NYC). But base comp ceiling for the position grade is $165k and they are willing to offer one time payment to make up for the gap between the offer & the ask. Any thoughts? The role has very upward potential in next couple of years.

What are other comp elements I can negotiate? Thx!

M trying to get a job in pharma company since I got my work visa in jan , 2022 . I had my experience in India . Here m kind of fresh as no experience because of which even though I have all qualification for a job m not even landing up in an interview . Did MD pharmacology , certification CCRP and patient safety but no one is even short listing . I wanted to get into pharmacovigilance . Can anyone help or suggest !!! I have 2 yoe in .net have 4.8 ctc.
Recently gave interview for TCS, after some days one of the recruiters from tcs called me and said that since i had done only BSC-IT they will deduct 6 mnth of expirence out of the total experience so finally i will left with 1.5 yoe, so for that they were offering 5.5 lpa since.

Is ther any rule one who has odne BSC they will not consider 6 mnth experince, thats the reason they have given to me.

I’m shocked that the DA’s office can decline to prosecute so easily! According to the doc, the prosecutors explained that bc they didn’t believe the victim “beyond a reasonable doubt”, they couldn’t in good faith try to convince a jury to do so. Is that really the standard for declining to prosecute a case?

Any advice on setting and keeping boundaries? As I’m nearing the end of maternity leave, I’m realizing that I am going to need to be much, much better about protecting my time. I’m also realizing that I could have set reasonable boundaries years ago, but I didn’t think I could at the time. I think the first step is to not take on every deal that is offered to me when I return, but I would love advice on how to not feel guilty (or perspective from your return).
