Yes, call in sick because you are sick of the job and stress and need to care for your health. And do something you enjoy. Spend one day looking for a job, make a plan, update resume, And then go do something non work related. Have fun and go for it! (Advice I wish I would have taken myself, so cheering for you!)

I’ve been there this past year - I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this. 100% support taking some PTO. For me it’s been a consistent combination of things to get to a better place. Therapy, taking PTO, consciously making plans with friends and to exercise outside of work, journaling, etc have all helped manage burnout over time

Thanks for the comment 💕 ! I did start working out this week & undeniably it is a good kind of soreness 😂 and the sleep i get from it is heavenly out of pride. Dint think of journaling, will give that a shot.

Def take the time you need to heal and recover. And there is no harm in applying to jobs, doesn’t mean you have to accept any offers that come in but it might be nice to know you have options out there :)

United Platinum here - got an offer to pay ~$6k for upgrade to 1K. Thoughts on if it’s worth it? Already belong to Club (United Infinite) and have CLEAR credit through Amex Platinum. Still have 40 plus points from hitting Platinum last year. Unlikely to travel for business until late 2Q at earliest but have 2-3 transcontinental flights planned for summer and 1 transatlantic for fall. Maybe another 1-2 shorter trips this year as well. I imagine I’d use my extra plus points on all these.

Hi team I recently got approached by a HR from Mars for a role based out of Germany. However, it seemed that she wasn't aware that I am an international candidate applying for the role even though my location was specified clearly in the application process. Does anyone know if Mars recruits non eu candidates ? The role really fits my skillsets and it would be a pity if they do not go ahead with the process just because I am a non-eu candidate.

I’m currently making 82K in NYC. Coming up on 5 years of experience and have my manager fighting for my raise. Assuming it happens, is 95-105k crazy to expect?

So for this company, I gave 3 rounds of interviews...the last round was with manager...he asked my exp salary, I said 10lpa. On further negotiation, he agreed for giving something between 9.5-10 including bonus n ol. Now, HR mailed me a proposed salary of 7lpa🥴. Over call she said the manager who agreed for 9.5+ is not from hr department and giving this much hike is against company policy. Later she said to add 50k JB and 100k RB. What should I do now? Current CTC: 6 lpa Yoe: 1
