This is my first year filing taxes. I earned ~$103k on my W-2 with $20k of that coming from bonuses. I invested 20% of my income into my 401k throughout the year. I receive ~$250 in dividends each quarter through my investments and other than that I have no other income streams. My tax accountant is telling me I owe money this year but I figured I would receive a refund with the bonuses I received (taxed at ~45%) & my 401k investment.
