I moved up quickly and 6 yrs in became a Director, I've been at the Dir level for 5 years now & currently at a pretty flat org. I feel like I'm doing the work of other VPs at the org & getting paid same $. Is it time to ask for a new title?

I’m a senior strategist and at the point in my development where I feel confident in my recommendations but am challenged by gaining internal buy in on them to bring forward to client. Senior leaders what is your advise for gaining internal buy in, brining your own folks along to your recos?

At my new spot not only do I not get client briefs but vast majority of the time I’m not given the opportunity to do creative briefs. I’m asked to just brief off of things like positioning decks for any and all asks doesn’t matter the deliverable. SMH 😭

Would it come off as weird or inappropriate to put made-up strategy briefs on a portfolio?

People say it’s critical to showcase your thinking to land a planning role, but for people changing focuses (moving from social to brand, seeking your first planning role, etc.) this often wouldn’t show in your actual work. Would supplementing real work with hypothetical briefs that doesn’t have outcomes or creative be frowned upon?
