3rd year Manager in DC at 107 base seems pretty solid in audit. Unless it’s a specialized audit practice then maybe not. Bonus isn’t great though. I know 4th year managers making 110. SMs I think would be 125 +
Nah just P Dubs requires 3 years as staff as far as I know. I’m in my 4th year at the firm right now.
Two standard type raises gets me to $100k base as an M1 so that’s more or less what I’m expecting. Total comp therefore somewhere near $110k. Your bonus is really where you are getting pinched it looks like.
👆🏻😩
Dude, you are getting screwed! Sorry, but that's really low.
I hope you get a big raise!!! I know a first year manager making about that (and not in a pricey market like D.C. either!). You need at least 135K
If I had to take a wild guess, I would say somewhere in the ballpark of 135k. But that’s just a guess
I don’t think 107 seems solid, first year manager is in the 100 range
Just tell them when you get your discussion for raise/promotion that you don’t believe it’s fair and I am not happy with my comp. if you are a valued employee, they will fix. If they don’t value you, they will give you the runaround.
KPMG isn’t an S2 5 years of experience over there? (I heard KPMG requires 3 years as a staff is why I ask that) so are you expecting well over $100k as a first year audit manager? That seems high for the area but what do I know... I have a friend at EY and we had always been the same pay til manager when she moved away. I was thinking I am $5-7k low right now
Why does audit pay suck? From A frustrated auditor
What do you make currently (genuinely curious Senior in the DC area)
107.5k and a 3k bonus this year
EY1 and KPMG2 I had a feeling 😑 what should I be asking for then?
Damn, that’s really low. I hope you get paid what you deserve with this promo
That is low. I don't know audit as I am in tax but that seems low since I have senior associates banging the 100k door
BDO1 any salary suggestion help? I want to be paid fairly but not ask for something unreasonable
PwC 3 - you just helped me figure out its time for industry.
PwC 1 - I am a first yr manager in the 100 range. Do you know what kind of raises people get from 1st to 2nd yr? Say 3 rating?
I believe they post the ranges on kcurve somewhere. My experience is those are pretty realistic
1st year Manager for base salary at 100k? Man DC is better than northeast. northeast folks are at 90k ish 1st yr mgr. raises of 4-8k per year I’d say is typical. Then bonus is gravy at 10k. Guess I should have moved to DC a few years back. Oh well
