Curious about this whole partner pension thing. How does one become fully vested? And, if you reach partner at 40, how early can you retire with a pension?

I've heard it takes 12-14 years to retire... but not sure how accuate

It's different at every firm but in general, think 10 years to vest and if you make it at 40, you will retire just fine at 60... Think a higher SM salary for life plus your equity and some other things... but it depends on a lot of things including your max distributions and which plan you're under (the formula and funding are subject to change so you can have people under different plans over time) . All in all, it's not a bad deal.

Ask a partner at your firm. You might be suprised at how candid he or she will be. In general, knowing the upside of sticking around and doing well isn't a bad thing.

What are the best healthcare companies to try to get in at? I live in Atlanta but I’m also open to remote. I have a health science degree and currently work at a smaller healthcare company on the corporate side in the revenue cycle. I’m open to any options I am just looking to get out of the company I’m at now because there isn’t much room for growth. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Does anyone have experience relocating a semi-independent non-working elderly parent locally?
I’m looking to move my mom locally to take care of her in just over a year. She wants to live alone so I’m trying to figure out best options. So far im leaning towards buying her a small place so I don’t have to sink money into renting her a place and can at least get some equity. But would love perspective from others about best financial options for someone in my position

Good morning!

Still trying to figure out this whole Fishbowl thing, so here goes my first post.

I would love to get into provider credentialing, but all employers I've looked at want at least 3 years of experience. So, I'm looking at Provider Network Coordinator roles, because I'm finding some of those roles don't need AS MUCH experience. I'm a RHIT, and have been working in healthcare for nearly 10 years.

Any input on employers is appreciated!

I'm open to remote, or Hybrid roles (Florida). I took a slight pay cut when I moved to this job and that is not something I wish to do again at this time. (Looking for a base of at least 95k)
