Are REITs and crypto really off the beaten path?

like

Alternative investments, certainly. Off the beaten path, I’d also argue. Main point I’m curious as to people who are knowledgeable in finance, what else they are pursuing. I’d add franchises to the list above as well, ran out of character limits. Just we hear a ton about Roth, 401k, HSA, but not much chatter on the topics above. Maybe they’re more appropriate questions to ask Reddit, but I’d rather not get a bunch of 20 year olds trading crypto based on graph shapes tell me why it’s a good bet

funny

VTTSX is completely passive and requires no setup. The others don’t check both boxes (except pure crypto)

Hey ladies, I have to vent. I’ve been in a friends with benefits on and off situation with this guy for 10 years. I recently hit him up because we haven’t spoken in a year and I missed him. Long story short, he cheated on his current gf with me. I asked him if he had any regrets. He said he feels bad, but it was worth it. I just don’t understand how he can physically melt in my presence but after all this time doesn’t want to *be* with me

His and his brother are “allowed” to see friends she knows but many of them aren’t careful but not allowed to see friends she doesn’t

I work at a traditional actuarial consulting firm on the heath benefits side and don’t really find the work very interesting. I’m kept by short term promise of a nice promotion, and competitive pay. I’ve recently started thinking about a next move, but am torn about which direction to go in. I’ve pondered a few options: working at a traditional carrier, switching to a different kind of consulting, or non-traditional work. All of my connections are in consulting not insurance, anyone have advice?
