No - but they are about to pay for my MBA 😂
Well I’d count that as a W tbf
Pro
My approach was a mix
-attended local state school
-commuted and didn’t stay on campus
-grandmother gifted me a little
-parents paid a little
-got a very small scholarship from work
-Did AP classes in high school and half day and went to community college the other half (had a semester worth of credits entering)
-Realized base tuition covered extra credits up to a point so took as many as I could
-Made payments myself for the last 1-2 semesters
-graduated in 3 years
So had some help but tried to hack it as best as I could so I wouldn’t have debt

They would’ve if they could’ve.

This ^ my parents still beat themselves over the fact that they couldn't do that for me but I'd never hold that against them. They made sure I had food to eat and a bed to sleep in and for that, I'm forever grateful

No, and I had to use my federal loans to help my dad pay his mortgage

Entry level accounting job via an agency. Had a degree when I moved into HR field.
The employers I mentioned above were not the same.

Nope. Did on my own
Yes. Most Asian parents do pay for children's education and marriage as well.

Hummmmmmmm, my parents paid for my education because they were poor and their parents couldn’t afford it when they were growing up so it became my parents goal to make sure I finished school
Marriage tho, I’ve always been told, if you can afford to get married, then you can afford to pay for it🤷🏻♀️
Yes, but only the portion the academic scholarships didn’t pay.
ACT/SAT scores got me a 100% tuition scholarship.
Parents covered rent, food, and books.
Nope. They co-signed so I could get the loans I needed since I didn’t have credit history yet. But I made all payments and eventually refinanced to be in my name only (and with lower interest).
Yes, and they’ve held it over my head since then. Absolute nightmare. “We fed you, we clothed you, we paid for your college.
You’ll be able to pay that back to your kids
Pro
No and I won’t be paying for my kids either.

Yes

hello? 👋

Nope. Nor room and board. I lived in apt with roommates through college and paid my rent/food/expenses plus tuition and books with my part time job plus student loans mostly govt subsidized stafford loans, which I paid off fully sometime in my early 30s. I was very broke and struggled.
Full ROTC scholarship and parents paid for room and board
Pro
How did you like the ROTC scholarship experience?
Nope = Public university + financial aid 💫
No. They made sure I had gas money and occasionally helped with books but I went juco route on scholarship, got some other leadership scholarships, ambassador for the school, SGA and such. Played a sport, had a full-time job, slept very little, didn’t realize how busy I was.
$0 student debt
Never used the degree
Used tuition reimbursement to continue my education at my current employer of 32 years back in the 90’s.
I didn’t come from money and I’ve made my own way. I’ll be retired very comfortably at 55. Can’t wait!!
Yes, under the condition I still followed their rules: don’t get pregnant and don’t do drugs. Easy enough to follow
No, but Biden just did. Heyoooo
No
Yes, but I was basically at a full tuition scholarship (athletic and academic), so it was only room and board. As an athlete, I basically had a part time job with practice and competition, so I didn’t work during the school year. I paid for my own law school.
No. Was a boy toy for an executive cougar.
