Xd! Adobe has improved it so much since the beta release. It works seamlessly across all your Adobe programs, which is really nice.
Co-editing is out of beta for XD and it’s been fantastic for our team so far. True real time collaboration without worrying about someone saving over your stuff (yes, I know Figma has done this for a while). Seamless Adobe CC integration and linked libraries to build a design system. As usual, Adobe has done a mostly great job of stealing all the best features from their competition.
Yikes, I hate adobe xd
Sketch
XD all the way. It’s gotten so much better over the last two years
Figma all day 💯
I use them all because each agency has its preference. figma is the best with quick collaboration. But I like XD with the various components libraries. Sketch has some cool bells and whistles.
Figma
Figma
Haven’t used Adobe XD since it’s beta version but I really enjoy using figma. Collaboration is easier across multiple designers and team members and the learning curve is small if you’re familiar with adobe and sketch shortcuts already. There are tools built into it that make building UI components and systems that adapt to changes in your designs much easier. There is a solid community of free resources now from other designers. I know developers that really appreciate when the design is built in Figma and its also browser based. My only complaint is that I wish its prototyping was a bit more advanced then where it’s currently at but it’s my understanding they are slowly improving that aspect each year.
This! The collaboration makes it well worth it. Especially this past year where we have been working mostly remote.
The prototyping features are a bit limited, but I find that it gets the point across week enough to my team and the client for us to then take to webflow to either prototype or fully build out.
Damn XD gets a lot of hate. Personally I like xd for the prototyping features
XD’s prototyping is top notch (has come a long way since 2018 for sure)
I use Sketch.
Sketch still feels the best.
Invision?
It depends on what your needs are. For product design teams, you can't beat Figma's collaboration features and built-in infrastructure supporting a design system across an organization. Other tools might beat Figma at prototyping, but product design teams still need to design with a shared design system and that's all hosted in Figma.
If using an organization's design system isn't the main concern, then sure, Sketch and Adobe XD probably still work great.
I’ve usually only used XD but figma seems to be more popular.
XD! There’s a lot to be desired but the potential is there.
Our team uses all 3 simultaneously, and each has its individual strengths. Collaboration within Figma is hard to beat. We’re actively looking to migrate some legacy Sketch and XD design systems and prototypes in to Figma for ease of scale and collaboration as well.
I use XD. It feels easier to teach because the Art Directors I work with are already familiar with Adobe products. I also enjoy the plug-ins and love knowing they just keep working to make it better and better.
