Curious -how do you feel about coworkers following you on social media (i.e I’m referring to Instagram, Snapchat, etc. NOT LinkedIn). I love sharing my life outside of work on social & I always second guess what I share because I know my coworkers are watching. It’s not that I’m sharing inappropriate content, it’s just the fact that i’m sharing my personal life, & it feels odd knowing staff/coworkers are watching. Can anyone else relate? Do you restrict these people so they can’t see everything?

Hello! I was curious if there were any women here who are Controllers at their current company? What is your experience like? I’ve dabbled into public accounting for two years now in the Business Outsource department and was curious about moving back to private to work my way up to be a Senior Accountant or Controller. Anyone else with daycare-aged kids have a hard time at the end of the day transitioning from work mode to mom mode? Just found out my abusive ex made partner this year. We were together almost 4 years until I had the courage and help of a therapist to leave him last year. We met through friends, work at different Big 4, and are similar in age so no weird power dynamics apply except for the huge salary gap when I was an associate and he a senior manager. Trying not to sound vengeful and I thought I was okay with a year of therapy but I can’t believe the sociopath who almost killed me made it.
