Should have been a flag!🤬
I've worked at the same engineering firm for 4 years. I'm currently making $161k with only a $750 bonus, but excellent vacation (4 weeks, cash out anytime, rolls over indefinitely), 45 hours a week. I have an interview with a recruiter at Guidehouse this week for a Technical Project Manager role. It seems to be focused in the government space and requires a security clearance. What sort of salary and benefits could I expect for this sort of role at Guidehouse?

I trust that I’ll be funding my own life.
70m.
It hasn’t dampened my ambitious nature.
Oh quick caveat, my figure is in Zimbabwean dollars.

I would love to have a trust fund and be less ambitious. Realize that’s not helpful per your question, but I’ll be interested to see what people say here.
I always forget trust funds are even a thing. Bully for those that have them. Would love to have one set up for my kids someday
That seems nice. I grew up poor and still have no ambition. I think massive trusts are to the detriment of a healthier financial system, however they do seem to foster some risk takers who would only take "risks" when their financial security is guaranteed. From them we do get some cool stuff now and again.
Looking at a few million inheritance but I live life like it isn’t coming because there are no guarantees
That's the right way to approach it! Always plan for the worst as you never know what will happen. I live relatively frugally and aim to sock away 25-30% of my salary in case that trust money doesn't come my way for any reason. So I have built a decent nest egg for my salary range.

To whom it may concern,
I have prayed on your downfall.
I guess I will inherit my parents house at some point. I put zero value on it for my own financial planning however.

Uh… $0?
For sure it's made me less ambitious. On the other hand, it's allowed my brother to be comfortable enough to take bigger risks and reap greater rewards to grow his wealth and try to be as successful as my dad. For reference each of my siblings will probably receive $10-20MM between trusts and life insurance policies.
I will make a great spouse kpmg 😉 - in LA if you live here
My daughter got a trust fund out of college, only $200k but i can tell it is setting her back. Lack of motivation and only working part time and not in her major. My parents are leaving me over $5 M but I always pretend that money is not coming so I focus on my retirement and that can only be a windfall
Trust what? I'm mostly just glad my parents got themselves and me and my siblings out of the 'hood so we could have a better shot at life.
