Curious, how many of you have a work teammate or family member sick with COVID-19? (I have none so far, knock wood, but an acquaintance or two.)

I know three people that have passed away. One was 81, the other two between 50-55. I also know a fourth who is 60+ and in hospital with it, caught it whilst in hospital recovering from heart surgery! I don't know personally of anyone <40 with it, yet.

I’m outside of NYC and up to over 20. Neighbors on both sides of me have it. Other neighbors suspect they have it but can’t get tests. Other neighbors farther up and down the road have it. A few best friends in NYC have it. A friend’s elderly, high-risk dad has it and he’s on a ventilator. His wife has it but her symptoms are mild. A neighbor’s young friend died from it. And when one person gets it, you have to assume the whole household has it. If this isn’t your story now, it may very well be soon. Shit is so fucked right now.

Boston, really? Is now the time to be picking at people? Clearly he feels like that is how one would feel if they smoked. His lungs felt heavy and he wasn’t breathing easily. Does that answer your rude question?

My dad is a doctor in Ecuador South America, the new epicenter of the region. He has 10 dead doctor colleagues, and since it's a third world country they can't handle COVID-19. People are just throwing corpses of their loved ones on the streets, because authorities and health services are over capacity. It's pretty bad. On Monday alone they had 450 bodies laying around, because there isn't enough help. Today starts their 24hr curfue. I am afraid he will also be gone. That's why when people complain about how bored their quarantine is, and still go out regardless of the warnings (yes Minneapolis I'm looking at you) I get beyond triggered. My family is trying to survive, and Becky here is complaining because she can't have spring break or Rosé on a rooftop.

My best friend lives in Ecuador and owns restaurants. Def not a good time there. I went there when the swine flu was going on and they made us leave the airplane with masks and people in the airport were wearing hazmat suits. Can’t imagine it now

Multiple friends in nyc have it, but can’t get tested. One ER doctor had it and had a false negative on her test. Friend-of-friends in my feeds have passed away.

My brother has it. Strong fever, some coughing and chest tightness. He’s alone living in a garage in SF and I’m very worried about him.

I know 3, 1 of them - 30s healthy - hospitalized. Two others in her family tested positive and expecting the last family member to test positive this week. None of the others hospitalized. She is still in hospital. (TX)

Two of my seven teammates have it. One is in nyc the other outside DC.

I’m mentally breaking down because I have been doing a job of a scheduler, PM, notetaker, regulatory submissions, and thus have no room for growth to work on strategy. I’m an AS and I am so sick of having to remind everyone because no one looks at my notes, recaps, and no one remembers anything from any meeting. Recently because I’m so exhausted I started making more “mistakes” like not catching a mistake on a submission. Is this because I suck or is it time for me to move off? I feel terrible.

I work 8+ hour shifts in the office as we are an essential business where masks are required at all times. Has anyone else had the experience of wearing a good mask at work and getting excruciating headaches at work that last for a few hours after work? I've already had an isolation period so it's not Covid, but I'm thinking it might be the higher levels of carbon monoxide, as I've tried wearing a different mask and did not have the same problem.

I’m pretty sure colleagues at my firm are inflating their billable hours. Is this the norm? I suspect many of you will think this is obvious and/or that I’m naive but wtf?
