Hi. Yesterday I was offered a senior associate position at a consulting firm in NYC. I have 4 YOE and they offered me $82k with 35-50% bonus. It is consulting RX but a boutique. I currently make $75k but bonus is 5-8% so assuming I take it and realize a 35% bonus I will be making $110k approx. would you take this? Am I being lowballed?

Leaving MBB after ~18 months to join a MM GE fund as an associate on the deal team. I’m seeing some people leave MBB after ~3/4 years join PE Ops with higher comp ($400-600k+). Does Ops comp surpass deal team if you’re leaving from MBB instead of banking?

How likely is one to succeed at using a competing job offer to negotiate a raise at your own company? I’m happy at my current company aside from compensation, and don’t want to leave. What has gone wrong in Chicago in the last two years? There wasalways at least one major piece of work the whole world noticed, usually from Leo Burnett or Ogilvy. But the tone and energy of work from San Francisco and New York agencies is just light years ahead of Chicago now. It all just feels so mediocre and dated. Where is the groundbreaking idea? Do you need financial backers for the most forward thinking teams to open a place? You can’t blame clients, clients ared the same everywhere.

Less mcqs and more sims. I like sims better for far than mcqs for some reason. While the opposite for audit since it's more subjective. Plus the 15 minute break is nice. Took 12 minutes to drink use the bathroom and just clear my mind before hitting the home stretch. But do expect from DRS sims. I got 3! But I don't find those hard, just very time consuming since the overwhelming amount of info they throw at you.

Post 3% Conference and me and the other people at my agency who actually care about inclusion would love to start something that builds camaraderie while also raising awareness for those who are “too busy in the day to day” to care/think about this stuff.
