I’ve been thinking a lot this past year about how there’s really no point to life. You wake up, work, make dinner, clean dishes, get an hour or two to do whatever, sleep, and repeat until the weekend. On Saturday, you try to recover from the exhausting week you had. On Sunday, you start to panic because Monday is about to come and you still don’t feel ready. I low key don’t really have any reasons to live for.

Anxiety attacks have been picking up (used to be few times a year, now weekly) I see a therapist already but have people had success with ashwagandha and magnesium? Not interested in prescription meds for me personally even though I recognize their merits

I just took a new job and the OTE is less than agreed to after going through the comp plan. Also the recruiter told me 50% of people were hitting their quota and no one was less than 70% last year. However I found out the last 6 months everyone is less than 10%. I know get that recruiters can mislead with performance metrics but giving the wrong OTE seems super unethical to me. Has anyone had this happen?

BDR not involved in internal discussions ? I'm currently at a small start up with an almost none existant sales team. The current 'team' is mostly made up of the ceo and another manager that are significantly older than me (I'm 25 and just finishing my BA). So far I have managed to bring in significant deals to the company by leading lead generation and prospecting campaigns. However I am left out of internal discussions, product updates and feel as if the ceo is unaware of my contributions

Property and Casualty license. I decided to get into insurance after 10 years of retail. This is whole new industry for me so a little nervous about the classes to get this license. I was always a C grade kid in school and never really did well in test. I’m not a dummy though. I can pick up things if I see you do it and me try it after. Hi I just started my first tech job as an AE. Salary is cool and everything around 65k a year plus commission. Was wondering if anyone has any advice to grow or find other positions with larger salaries doing well in my role and want to continue growing.

Hi there, I got an offer for an early stage cyber security saas startup in Canada and they offered me 130k base and 10-15% commissions which they estimated at 160-240k additional a year. They only have 1 sales person at the moment and I would be 2nd and they are hiring for 3 more. I’ve always been on a 50:50 model and never done the % of revenue. Average deal size is 40k. I got 12 yoe in enterprise tech sales. No stock options upfront but potentially after the first 3 months. Good deal?

I have 15 years of sales experience and currently between jobs. Spent most of my career in telecommunications sales. Telecommunications Warner cable and spectrum. I made 94k before being laid off looking to break the 100k mark anyone have suggestions on where would be good to go?

Any suggestions on how to get around the “gatekeeper?” My job relies on calling and visiting cold leads and getting past the gatekeeper and speaking to someone who can make a decision is becoming nearly impossible.
