Any of the sisters deal with gestational diabetes but already had a restrictive diet pre and during pregnancy?
Doctor says I have it, but I honestly don’t believe them. I don’t eat cane sugar (not even in sauces), gluten, dairy, or soy. So not surprised I couldn’t process their drink-I don’t consume stuff like that regularly. I walk a mile or do HIIT training 5x/ week. The condition doesn’t run in my family (and my mom has 4 sisters w/kids-good sample size) (cont’d in comments)
As a manager who interviews many of the applicants to our office, go get the suit. If it is less formal, you shrug and say you never know and some accountants are particular about formality. If you skip the jacket, those same people will ignore your actual skills. I agree it’s dumb but humans are odd creatures.
I find the formality silly. I wear jeans most days and rarely dress up more than a nice top, even at a clients’. My industry is very informal though. The only very formally dressed people now are the interns. They show up in a suit some days no matter what we tell them.
Literally just wore slacks and a polo
Definitely have considered just wearing my usual in-office attire
You guys are doing in person interviews? Every single person I have interviewed since 2020 has been over teams. Meaning suit coat on top and shorts.
First round is remote but it helps make sure they have transportation and don’t whine about in person work. Some clients want to see you, some don’t. It helps get a better judge on the person too. Specifically so we never accidentally hire another Tom who smelled of 3 day old roadkill and caused 5 people to quit.
If you’re an experienced hire, just wear something on the top end of business casual. I wouldn’t do jeans etc but I think a full suit screams new grad who doesn’t know how the office works yet. Plus a lot of people who aren’t used to suits end up fidgeting or looking uncomfortable which can make them seem kind of awkward.
This is kind of where my head was leaning towards as well. While yes appearance matters to an extent, what’s more important is the actual conversation (imo)
Look up on YouTube how to remove tags so you can put them back on and return later. ;) but wear the suit, shows respect imo and that you take this seriously
It’s called being poor at some point of your life lol
