Curious if those of you with any Insurance designations (CLCS, AINS etc..) - did you purchase and test on your own or did your agency pay for it?

Paid with personal CC and submitted for reimbursement at agency

State Farm pays for you. Started my CPCU with them prior to leaving. They sent you study materials & you can test on site. AAA reimburses after you present you pass & you can check out material from their library to return. Current company pays but you have to give them time after you successfully complete. I don’t work for the agency but thought the info may be useful.

Farm bureau of Idaho is paying for any designations we want to take. If we fail we have to pay half. If we get our CPCU they pay for you to go on a trip!

My company paid for materials, fistt attempt of test, and any CE needed to maintain license or designation.

My agency paid for it. I worked for Allstate at the time and they paid for all of it.

The American College (CLU ChFC etc) you study at home and go to a testing center for the test. Generally the company may pay for that as Continuing Education as long as you pass the test meaning they’ll reimburse you.

1) they change it from W-2 to 1099

My cat has so much energy and zooms around all night but she’s lost interest in toys that she enjoyed as a kitten (18 months old now). I’ve tried the fishing rod, laser light, catnip mice, and many more toys but had no luck.

How do I get her to engage in playtime and expend all that energy?

Many efforts to get into big law have been to no avail mainly because I only have LLM from Emory Law and my other law degrees are foreign. I have decided to start my own law firm and I aim to make it as international as possible, thus making my supposed academic disadvantage my strength. I am considering corporate, M&A, entertainment and sports as areas of practice. Please advise accordingly. Thank you!

Personal lines agents that work from supplied leads, have you guys noticed a huge slow down in lead quantity this year over last? I am writing almost half the business that I was this time last year, I’m starting to get worried about lay offs at my job if this continues. Usually the summer time is very busy for us.. you’d think with inflation more people would be looking at places to save some money, thus driving more quotes in.

I was hired by a company that is paying me a ridiculous amount of money to do my job, but they lied to me, they lied to all of the new hires. This isn’t underwriting, this is a call center. We aren’t even allowed to answer coverage questions when the agents call. The call volume is INSANE - like 70+ calls a day. There’s no actual underwriting happening, and I don’t know what to do. The money is great, but the job is a joke. I’ve been here for 2 months and I want out. Advice?
