If i were to leave - it would be because slalom is more focused on living a charmed life than actually solving hard problems or building practices that create real value by solving hard problems. There are some people here that are holy crap wow good, but for the most part people are happy doing 40 hours doing simple work that is not challenging.
Yep! If I leave, it will be for the money.
I am off at least 15% in base compensation. Also didn’t get a sign on bonus or other pay benefits. That being said, with the kind of work, people, culture at Slalom, this is a trade off of my choice :)
@DD My issue is the growth potential is super low. 2.5% annual increases, no bonuses, and if promotion occurs its around a 4% increase, maybe 7% with annual increase- not even sure if thats guaranteed.
Haven’t left but I’m guessing 90% is for more money
I’ve always thought Slalom Consultants were decently paid. How off do you think you are from market avgs?
Ive also thought scalability was decent? I am at BAH and our annual increase was 2.5% industry-wide and no bonuses.
I see, are you in an office with large growth potential? i.e. If you can consistently move up and take on additional responsibilities (bd work), is it possible to get a salary equally competitive to other firms?
How do you know how much you're off? Who are you comparing to? I know slalom pays less than big 4 (unless you jump ship to go there in which case any move will pay you more)
KPMG 1 - I’m going to make it simple and not throw statistics or reports in the way. I’m off by ~15% compared to my MBA batchmates who had similar experience prior to MBA and have gone to work in consulting/non-consulting Jobs.
I feel like BAH is underpaid, especially in fed
You got an MBA and went to slalom during campus recruitment?
Not sure if campus recruitment really is a thing in the US, but yes- I met Slalom recruiters on my college campus, connected over LinkedIn, landed an interview and got the offer three months later.
Damn where do you work OP? Sounds horrendous ^
@K1 BAH
Absence of career path.
@vp Which office were you in? What were the efforts that you made and what were the outcome?
