I did that! Summer 2018- I traveled, spending a week or more in each place, for the first 7 weeks, and then spent the rest of the time at home, working on home improvement projects, hanging out with my SO, reading, getting regular exercise, learning to cook new things... it was a glorious time, and I felt really strong and healthy (mentally and physically!) afterwards.
Just did one. One month going to concerts, dinners with friends, playing guitar- 3 months traveling the world. No regrets. Maybe would break the travel up if could do again. 6 wks travel, 4 wks at home, 6 wks travel.
Great idea!
On one now. Spending time with sick family members, traveling to see friends, and exercising. Also a fair amount of guitar and video games tbh!
It’s been awesome. Do it and get recharged!
Travel the world!! ✈️🌍
Travel, spend time with family/friends, focus on my health
I caught up on laundry for the first time in 10 years.
I’m also 30 hahaha
I did a backpacking/hostel trip in South America at 29 for sabbatical. Surprised to see most people were between 25 - 35 doing the same.
I would invest time in learning something say Scuba, Yoga instructor, Hypnotism :-) and travel
Like goto India and learn to be a yoga instructor
Yoga teacher training somewhere exotic (to me from NAMR) like Bali or Thailand 😁 (actually on my bucket list... maybe for 2021)
Did it last year. China + Japan, it was awesome
Paid or unpaid?
Short term disability is useless for a sabbatical. Unless you’re injuring yourself to take one!
