Curious to see what McKinsey people have to say about McKinsey Digital. Given that the group is only two years old, are they well respected? Looking to switch over and need advice!

How much respect do you need? Can you not earn it with your clients?

@McK1 if what you're saying is true it sounds like a good fit for me and I'd be interested in learning more. How well has McK been handling the integration between "traditional" management consulting and the human-centered design and innovation consulting of Lunar and the folks you say are coming in from Fjord, frog, and IDEO? One thing I've noticed at Deloitte is that there's a lot of people on both sides who don't get each other so the collaboration isn't nearly as fruitful as it could be

dd2...fyi, OP was talking about Mck, not Deloitte's culture. just want to make sure you were aware.

I'm more on the traditional side McK1, deep on strategy and tech. I have certainly appreciated making sausage with studio teams but I still have that classic douche in me. I'm working on it, I swear.

Yeah, that's what our studios do McK1. That's why they end up in those channels. I went to B school and saw the innovation videos too 😉

Hi @d3 great comment. I can't lie - it's hard, and still a bit of the wild west. Good thing is that the ppl we have a rock solid, with amazing experience and perspective. Working with the traditional side is an opportunity and a challenge, and honestly one I'm still figuring out. My experience has been that everyone is receptive, when the opportunities are framed in a way that makes sense to that particular side of the company. If you are interested, please apply! Do they just do implementation? Or strategy stuff as well?

They aren't well respected in the market, so why do you care how they are regarded within the firm?

McK1- I'm trying to find them on relevant digital magic quadrants or Forrester waves. Not seeing much there. Also I don't know anyone that has left Deloitte Digital, the leader in the space, to go to MBB Digitals. Accenture or PwC sure.

EY1, by "the firm" I was taking about McK. MBB Digital practices are a joke with almost no market share.

Interesting @d2. These may not be the droids you are looking for. Most of the folks at McK are human-centered designers, coming from the likes of Fjord, frog and IDEO. We typically don't show up in those channels - at least, not now.
