Hi guys, is it really hard to get a foreign job? I have just started applying for some positions through linkedin jobs. Are there better ways than linkedin? Also my experience is relatively less. I have one year of experience but I'm confident in my skills. What do you suggest? Is it too early and am I lacking experience or do they hire people with less experience also?

I’m thinking about starting my own agency. I have been freelancing on the side over the past two-and-half years as a CD and Marketer. In that time, I have worked with 4 agencies and 3 companies repeatedly. 20 additional hours a week has been about as much as I can do, alone. But if I had more people I could handle more work and probably secure retainers.

For those who have done it, how did you start your agency or consulting firm? What were the first steps you took?

Do I live in a fantasy land thinking places like Venables, Work In Progress, Joan, Terri and Sandy, and Preacher don’t do things like banners, email blasts, and banners?

If I get rejected and then adjust a few headlines is that enough for me to be reconsidered for candidacy?

As a junior, a lot of peers from my generation immediately got internships at top agencies, while I had to start at a very small and un-creative agency.

At the time, it felt very frustrating, like I was running behind. But in hindsight, it was a blessing in disguise. I got a lot of responsibility very fast and I could develop my skills gradually, without being burned. I’m sure this first job helped me enormously later on in my career.

How did you start out?

Agency will be switching to a new cloud platform “Aprimo” instead of the traditional server for work/storage/access of creative files. After a few training sessions, I see absolutely no benefit to us Creatives, and predict a huge disaster while transitioning. Does anyone here have experience with “Aprimo”, and what are your thoughts.
