Inclusiveness vs diversity: I think internally, inclusiveness is extremely important, and advantageous to a firm. Recruiting efforts however, should be race/creed/color/protected party agnostic.
Anybody else wish you could filter attorneys at a firm by race? Or even just a blanket “diversity” filter? I need a quick & easy way to see how diverse a firm is!
Does anyone else feel all this talk about “agency culture” is at direct odds with diversity and inclusion?
If we didn’t have Trump in the oval office, would we be having conversations about diversity and inclusion on a National level? 🤔
How do employers confirm race for diversity hiring? To clarify, I know someone who puts African in race and always brags about how they benefited from affirmative action in college and it's landed them a ton of offers because of every company's push to be more diverse. Only thing is he's egyptian rather than black so I'm not sure how that's viewed from a diversity hiring perspective.
Does anyone have book recommendations on gender bias/microagressions? For context: got into an argument with my dad bc he is moving and he said he doesn’t know about the mattress sizes “because that’s something a female who is into design and decoration would know” 🥴🤮 smh idk wtf a mattress has to do with design/decoration or women and this man needs education. thanks in advance
Thoughts on ad agency diversity data, now that it’s being released? “Across the entire (Havas) organization in the U.S., 6.11% of employees are Black, 10.8% are Hispanic or Latino and 9.66% are Asian.”
We have a team to promote diversity in our department...everyone on the team is straight and white. This really blows my mind.

Having a kid. Is it still ok to bring them up with gender stereotypes? I mean, clearly I want them to do any job they aspire to, but will I be a bad parent if I dress the girl up in pink and boy blue?
Have you felt the need to come out to show advocacy and diversity in your classroom? Even if you’re totally comfortable in your personal life, do you feel this need to be out and be an ally?

Any single men in Dallas Fort Worth area? Transferring to be closer to family from DC and not looking forward to the lack of diversity (or texmex, whatever that is) 😫
Anybody who has felt maxed out in recruitment? What do you do? Do you try other industries first but stay in recruitment or do you try to change positions with more diversity of tasks? I now feel that everything I do is the same old, and although they say I am doing a good job, it is also a constant stress daily for applicants not showing up, failing pre-employment requirements, etc and I wonder if this is also present in other areas of HR.
Hello Everyone, I am looking to hire a couple of technical sources who have a keen interest in diversity. I am building out a diversity sourcing team to support AWS AI/ML practice. Great opportunity with lots of visibility. Let me know if you are interested in learning more.
My job let’s me choose between NYC and SF. I’m a young guy - from a dating perspective is one better than the other? I know people talk about the gender inequity in SF but my sense is during the pandemic a lot of guys have moved out of the Bay Area to cities like NYC, LA etc.

Just want to solicit some feedback on a somewhat under the rug topic from all sides of the gender aisle: How Men Burn Out https://nyti.ms/34nqKFC
Kind of aggravated with the example male leadership is setting right now with regard to parenting at CV. At least 5 men in leadership have had new babies in the last month and it seems like some have taken no time off or only the bare minimum. We have 12 weeks and should be encouraged to use it! If leadership isn’t taking advantage of their own policy, what does that say to the rest of the staff? In my perspective, this is likely further contributing to the gender disparity in CV leadership
Thoughts on showing (I) cleavage and (II) shoulders at work? For ladies although everyone please weigh in. On that note isn’t it curious how different the standards are based on one’s gender identity?
Thinking about pursuing an MBA to get out of working in consulting. Don’t want to go into industry yet and still need to iron out exactly what I want to pursue. Any advice on the process?
I realized post-interview the recruiter might have me in the interviewer loop for the level below what I was targeting. I know I should’ve asked or they should’ve shared, but that didn’t happen. I wouldn’t accept an offer at the lower level. What should I do? Wait and see if I get an offer and negotiate, or alert them now?
Hello Ladies, so I am seeing someone like we have met for a couple of days and now we are in different time zones. I am trying to talk and have communication but he only speak when he is free. Also, he always keeps on saying that he has a lot of work (MBB) which I get it, but should you proactively try and take out time to have communication especially when you are in different time zones.

Making 67k, company matches 5%. Should I have 6% in a traditional 401k and 6% in a Roth? Or all 12% in one or the other?? I’m thinking all 12% should go into the Roth. I’ve searched the bowl and noted that Roth is better for lower income but just essentially wanting some confirmation of my interpretation?
Can you show with more than one homeowners insurance broker? Just in case they use different sources? Or is that not wise to do?
