Hey Sharks,
Have joined HCL last week. Assigned a project which seems not too good technically. Thinking of joining other organisation (which is paying low but work wise it's good). If I leave now will it be considered absconding. And if it is then does HCL blacklist those employees for future.
Kindly suggest. TIA.

ZS Associates Hello folks, I am a permanent employee of Persistent. I am deputed at the client side. My client is an ZS associate. Recently I have resigned from persistent. But ZS is very happy with my work. They don't want me to go. My ZS manager has asked the persis manager to retain me OR remove the cooling period clause, ZS is ready to hire me as a permanent employee. I will be very happy is ZS takes me as Permanent employee. But will persistent remove cooling period clause? Persistent Systems Limited ZS

Might be the most spoiled/out of touch thread I’ve seen on here in a while...
ACN per diem in Houston is $41 per day. Woof
Client’s per diem is $41.
Once had a project that was $40/day per diem, in middle America where hotel had no kitchen and a *very* limited selection of restaurants outside of fast food and chains like chili’s
I had a foreign client who didn’t want to pay us for meals at all when we traveled within the US. We finally got them to give us a whopping $19 a day for meals when traveling in the US and $45 a day when traveling internationally, which is very hard in Singapore and London
Seriously. First project I was ever on paid me a $40 per diem. I stayed at the Homewood suites and cooked all my meals and pocketed the rest. Thought I hit the lottery. You learn to pinch a few pennies when you graduate during the recession.
Wow I thought I had it had at $50/day. Praying for you
I get around $50 a day and thought that was a lot...I get a Chipotle bowl and eat that for 2-3 meals. Can’t get out of the poor college student mentality but maybe that’s not a bad thing!
It's definitely a bad thing.
Be grateful we're in consulting. Our client is limited to $10 per person for internal meeting meals. They typically get McDonald's, subway if theyre lucky.
Do they travel? I started in industry and there was no way they were giving us any money for an internal meeting. Lunch meetings meant you take lunch earlier or later
