Hi Sharks, I had an interview with Tata Consultancy today and cleared the TAG round by answering all their questions. So here my query is, based on my performance will they offer me a hike of 100% or more from my CCTC, because this role is too relevant to my domain and technical knowledge so that I don't wanna miss out on this.

Hello fishes, I joined Nagarro on 24th of August. But still no project is assigned yet. Basically I am on bench. Now I am about to get an offer from ServiceNow. I really wanna join ServiceNow as it's a big product based organisation and the competition is really high compared to Nagarro. ServiceNow is giving me a joining date of 1st October. As I am still on bench, will I get released by Nagarro soon ? Because no project is allocated to me.

YYY, aren’t you on my level?

Looking at some SVP roles for technology / controls in the Southwest region. Glassdoor indicates $185-240k as range base comp, and target of $185-205k for average base. Is that accurate?
Glassdoor also targets $40k for variable comp. average. Is that accurate?

Keep the 45k and work on a side hustle. You’re pretty much paid for free time right now that you could use for self development/financial growth while getting healthcare (assuming you’re in the us) Hell play competitive switch and read books on investing or something.
Ah, well, I have my own laptop I bring when I’m really bored so I could do it from that. My work provided Surface tablet would definitely not be what I’d be working on. I have the camera covered and there’s no real monitoring on site anyways. I guess I could do transcribing, editing, or copywriting. I’d just have to do some research to find a reputable hustle, lol.
Well first, if you break down your current rate of pay per hour and then increased it to 40 hours a week (I’m assuming your new position is full time), that comes to 60k. So anything less than that is literally a pay cut. So 60k is the floor and if they go lower you can point that out. As far as getting them to 70, usually the best tactics I’ve found are telling the prospective employer I have a higher, competing offer, and ask them if they can get closer to that number or match it. If you think u can pull off that lie, with a good story, I’d go for that. Say once the idea for this position came up u applied to a few other companies as well or something. If not that, do some actual research on what other companies in your area are paying for that role. Present that research to them and make your argument for why you deserve 70 based on your skills and experience. Then have a plan in place for if they low ball u. Will you say no and go back to your old job? Will u accept 65? Know what your limits are so u can stay strong in the moment.
They know me and they know I’m always analyzing everything. I’d probably tell them in the moment that I’ll take the information into consideration, have a cost/benefit analysis completed by the next day and answer them with the truth. That while I am interested in and qualified to do more than my current role, the compensation versus the actual responsibilities (the job of two people) don’t align with industry standards or personal quality expectations.
I would probably then counter a lower number with a 2 days in office, 1 day in the field(at my current office alone), and the remaining time remote. Handling corporate social media accounts is a 7 days a week gig. Along with creating content, marketing initiatives, and support materials for sales reps. AND holding the hand of the sales manager who is a pushy timeshare-lock them in a room until they sign the paperwork type of guy-who knows nothing of digital media or the online arena.
Ugh. Just listing it all is a headache. Definitely not worth the lowball offer without remote concessions. I already have 10 paid holidays, 2wks vacation, and 7 sick days so I won’t get more. Maybe a $500/mo vehicle allowance? I know our salaried field employees get that. That adds $6k to the compensation package
If you’re gonna give yourself the headache of actually working (not all bad cause doing nothing full time is equally as draining and bad for your mental health), you shouldn’t take the low ball offer. Back up why you deserve 70k and come prepared with market research. They’ll probably meet you half way. If they decline I don’t see it being much of an issue to say you’re happy in your current role. Normally it would be awkward but sounds like you work at the circus so this might fly.
It’s a Fortune 500 company, just a branch of it, but still highly profitable. It IS more headache to work in the office with everyone. But they’re BIG on loyalty and the big wigs are all retiring in 10 years or so so if I wanted, I could fit in a big future.
I doubt I’d hurt his feelings, especially since I’ve made my dislike of our hiring manager known(he has stolen 4 ideas of mine in 2 months). President thinks I don’t like him because he’s a pushy, slimy salesman-which is part of it-but not all. I guess I could also wait until we chew through the sales manager? I wouldn’t hold my breath though because in my experience, the ineffective middle managers hang on the longest.
