Current situation:
120k salary,
500k equities(retirement+taxable)
and roughly 30k cash checking plus upcoming sign on bonus of 20k in ~1.5 months
Rent: 1150
Debt:
Car loan: 34k
Student loans: 9k
CC debt on autopay: 3.5k for the month.
How should I deploy my capital?
1) Save till I have 50k in checking.
2) bring cash balance slowly to 10k over 3 months by paying off car loans.
3) Ignore all debt, make regular payments, and continue Dollar cost averaging into equities.
4) other, pls explain

Pay off all loans.
4) interview and get a higher salary. That's on the lower end for a Data Scientist.

Happy with the current salary tho.

If interest rates on loans are high pay that. Why do you need 50k in checking? What are your monthly expenses? Need more information.

Even 20-30k is cushy, you don’t need 50k unless you’re saving for something specific.

I’d pay off 4.75% for sure, though the debt queens here will yell at me for saying that.

If you’re maxing out retirement, anything left can go into the brokerage account.

Pay off cc debt immediately! You should not carry that kind of debt ever with your net worth.

Hey everyone,
I just moved to the Indianapolis area and was hoping you could help identify what the salary market was here. I have my BS in mechanical engineering, MS in engineering management, and an MBA. I am currently working as an entry level claims adjuster. I am just about done with onboarding and I am interested in growing and earning more. I’m relatively young (30) and I want to make a good career for myself. My current salary is 50K and I am curious what growth is available financially. I am interested in fire and theft and SIU, but these are not the only roles I want to try. Does anyone have any idea the salary ranges available as I go further into different roles? (URBI,ARBI,F&T) etc?

I’m a cyber sec analyst with an experience of 4 years and 11 months with a fixed salary of 11LPA. I was interviewd at comcast ( For SKY ) and it went really well. The panel fron UK was really sweet and kind and I dint have any 2nd thoughts…Until, the HR said they could offer only 12 LPA as my current package itself is too high for my experience and the finance team isnt providing approval beyond 12L

I really want to join comcast but how is this hike accepted ?! Need negitiation suggestions

I’m a new CSM (9 months) and I work at a company that doesn’t invest much in its CSM team. I’ve been struggling because as time goes on I feel more and more like a token hire. We have no play book/structure, no CSM tool and I’m current organizing all 95 of my clients on spreadsheets while also handling presales trials with a salary under 50k.

Long story short: I’m searching for mentorship or to be pointed in the direction of a good course so I can help the clients I do have while I’m here

Hi All,

I am a C2 in Accenture with a strong network and have an offer with KPMG. 25% base increase plus M grade (Mid manager salary range so probably closer to SM promo than a new manager). Accenture probably has the better brand name, assets ... Etc. Evaluation is much appreciated!

Hi there! I work as a Junior Customer Success Manager at a B2B cybersec startup in Canada. My base salary is increasing from 60k to 70k/year CAD (from 45 to 53k USD) and my commissions are increasing so if my clients Net retention revenue is between 80%-200% I'll get an extra 15-80k/year CAD (11-60k USD) depending on the NRR.

Am I making more than other entry level CSMs? I had 0 years of customer success experience before this job, I just had a year of B2C customer support experience.

Maybe some perspective might be of use to me. I’m transitioning out of the service and I’ve positioned myself decently to be competitive in the market. I’ve got two offers from great companies. Biotech and Healthcare, both on the Human Capital Team as an Employee Relations Consultant. I have a graduate degree pursuing a Doctorate, LSSBB, ScrumMaster, SPHR, and PMI-ACP certified. I know this is personal and dependent, but what should I be considering as a commensurate salary?

What resources helped you get into product marketing/Google?
Has anyone here moved from advertising to tech?
Would love to hear from a marketer about their experience getting into Google.

McKinsey - very matter of fact, almost mechanical efficiency
BCG - highly professional and structured, but also friendly
Bain - busy busy busy busy
Deloitte - realistic and have their stuff together
EY - mainly accountants, but are very proud of strategy at Parthenon
PwC - also accountants, but without Parthenon to be proud of
KPMG - happy people who like their jobs
